Mrs. Sarah Lucille Turner Crosby, 81, of 900 McLeod Road, Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest Wednesday morning, September 23, 2009, following many years of declining health. She was the widow of the late Mr. Launie Archie Crosby, a former Colleton County Deputy Sheriff.



Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Saturday morning, September 26, 2009 from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.



Mrs. Crosby was born October 16, 1927 in Pellum, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Charlie Floyd Turner and the late Thelma Lucille Theus Turner. She worked and retired from the Piggly Wiggly in Walterboro where she worked with the Green Back Stamp program; as well as was a loving and caring housewife and provider for her family. She was a member of Bedon Baptist Church in Walterboro.



Surviving are: two daughters, Jackie Crosby Williams and her husband Dennis of Walterboro and Theresa Crosby Jones Trimble and her husband Stanley of Tallahassee, Florida. There are nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren that also survives as well as a special friend Mrs. Mary Allen of Walterboro. She was preceded in death by a daughter and her husband, Launette Crosby Way and her husband Howard; and a son-in-law, Neal Jones.
