Mrs. Sandra Nell Stanley Miklaszewski, 75, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 23, 2026, at her residence under the care of Crescent Hospice.
Born September 12, 1950, she was a daughter of the late James Marion “Cotton” Stanley and Jennie Nell Heape Crews. She was a retired medical transcriptionist for Hampton Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Sandra loved playing softball, fishing, boating, and especially loved traveling all over the world with Steve. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends and cherished her grandchildren.
Surviving are: her husband, Steve Miklaszewski of Varnville; children, Jeremy Michael Dempsey and his wife Tanya of Early Branch and Carrie Miklaszewski of Mount Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Sonya Mixson Dempsey; grandchildren, Jake Dempsey and his wife Kayla, Austin Dempsey, Gage Dempsey, Cain Dempsey (Brooke), Katelyn Gillam and her husband Greg, Haley Bowick (Sean Skipper), Jillian Velazquez and Jarrett Velazquez; and her sister, Cindy Middleswarth and her husband Richard of Pelion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Randall Dempsey; step-father, Denver Crews; and brothers, JW Stanley, Tommy Stanley, and Timmy Stanley.
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Pocotaligo Road, Varnville.
