Sandra Groves

Ms. Sandra Evelyn Groves, 62, of Walterboro, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.  Entombment will follow in the Glendale Memorial Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Born April 1, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Ethel Beverly Groves.  She was a member of Rock Solid church in Walterboro.  She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, who loved to cook for her family and friends.  Sandra was the true definition of a fighter, always keeping her faith to overcome her obstacles and was always positive.   She will be remembered for the love she had for her dog, Hannah.

Surviving are: her children, Kenneth Shannon Hiott (Veronica) of Summerville, Stephanie Hiott Watson of Hilton Head, and Charles Matthew Hiott (Brandy) of Walterboro; former husband and close friend, Kenneth Harold Hiott of Walterboro; brothers, Mickey Groves of Walterboro, Bobby Groves (Donna) of North Carolina, and Roger Groves (Debbie) of Walterboro; sisters, Helen Wright (Samuel) of North Charleston, and Brenda Denny of Summerville; and grandchildren, Cameron Watson, Caleigh Watson, Emily Hiott, Chase Hiott, Mathew Hiott and Zoey Hiott.
