Marie Williams

Mrs. Marie Moseley Williams, 59, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Born September 13, 1967, in Hampton County, she was the daughter of the late J.C. Moseley and Mary H. Crosby Moseley. She was raised by her sister and brother-in-law, James and Ruthie Brunson. Marie dedicated her life to the Lord and to her family. She loved the Lord and especially loved sharing the Word of God with anyone she met. Marie was a devoted wife and dearly loved her family.

Surviving are: her husband, C. Laverne Williams, Jr. of Varnville; her brother-in-law that she loved as a father, James Brunson; her nephews that she was raised with and loved as brothers, Jay Brunson and his wife Amanda, Scott Brunson and his wife Karen, and Lance Brunson and his wife Julie, along with their families; mother-in-law, JoAnn Bell Williams; sister-in-law, Teresa Smith and her husband Richard; brother-in-law, Reverend Joseph Williams and his wife Stephine; aunts, Evelyn McCrary of Estill and Myrtle Ann Youmans of Panama City, Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Cecil Polk, Damon Crosby, Larry Crosby, Audrey Jarrell, and Ruth Brunson; and a special nephew, Brandon Brunson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a local church.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, September 19, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Varnville.
