Mrs. Ruth Jones Sineath, 93, of Sineath Road in Islandton, entered into her eternal rest Monday afternoon, Jul 30, 2012, at her residence under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was the widow of Mr. Roy Sineath.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Thursday morning, August 2, 2012, from Adnah United Methodist Church, Adnah Church Road, Islandton with Pastor Fred Davis, The Reverend David Cox, and The Reverend Billy Harriett officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Mrs. Sineath was born March 25, 1919, a native of Colleton County she was a daughter of the late Nathan Jones and the late Neta Walling Jones. She retired from Westinghouse in Hampton where she worked in the decorative devision. She was a lifelong member of Adnah United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the church choir and was active in many aspects of the church's work during her life. A lady who loved to socialize with others and go shopping as often as possible she will be remembered as being known by many and loved by all. She had a great admiration for beautiful flowers and tended well to her yards and gardens.
Surviving are: a sister, Gladys Howard of Huntsville, Alabama; two nephews whom she loved as her children, Ricky Sineath and Joe G. Sineath both of Islandton; many great nieces and nephews; and loyal and loving caregivers, Tony and Sherrie Sineath both of Islandton.
