Rudell Risher Rivers

Mrs. Rudell Risher Rivers, 88, of Walterboro, entered into her rest Tuesday evening, September 3, 2013 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. She was the widow of the late Mr. Robert Lawrence Rivers.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, September 7, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Evergreen Christian Church Cemetery, Bells Highway, Walterboro.

Mrs. Rivers was born January 19, 1925, in Walterboro and was a daughter of the late Ira Louis Risher and the late Donnie Langdale Risher. Together, she and her husband were the owners of R&R Meats in Walterboro. She was a member of Evergreen Christian Church in Walterboro.

Surviving are: one daughter, Delores O’Brien of Texas, two brothers, Ladson Risher and Jimmy Risher, both of Walterboro; three sisters, Faye Atwood of Charleston and Ethel Hiott and Ida Mae Crosby, both of Walterboro; five grandchildren, Lora Hietala of Neosho, Missouri, Bobbie Villarreal of Lakeland, Florida, Scott Adams of Dawson, Alabama, Michelle Yoder of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Cheryl Poston of Virginia. There are five great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren that also survive.
