Biography

Mrs. Ruby Lee Sanderson, 74, of Spruce Street in Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, September 7, 2013, at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday, September 9, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.

Born October 13, 1938, a native of Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. Brazell and the late Rosa Lee Hare Brazell. She was a retired weaver in the textile industry and also during her lifetime had worked for a medical transport company providing care for the elderly in their various travels to and from various doctor's appointments. Also she had been a devoted caregiver to many.

A loving mother, grandma, and great grandmother, sister and appreciated friend; she is survived by a son, Ray Sanderson and his wife Sherry of Honea Path; a daughter, Lynn Sanderson Tuten of Walterboro; a brother, Frank A. Brazell, Jr. and his wife Gail of Columbia; and a sister, Elizabeth Hudson and her husband Ronnie of Ruffin. There are four grandchildren, Christina Fleming, Eric Sanderson and his wife Robin, Nikki Strickland and her husband David, and Kevin Sanderson; and four great grandchildren; Logan Davis, Makayla Voss, Brooks Sanderson, and Adair Sanderson.
