Mrs. Ruby Glover Hamilton, 91, of Waverly Road in Walterboro, entered into her state of eternal rest Wednesday evening, March 14, 2012, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Mr. Cecil Hamilton.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2012, from the graveside in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Blvd, Walterboro, with The Reverend Daniel Cooper and Dr. John Steele officiating.
Mrs. Hamilton was born July 13, 1920, in Walterboro, and was a daughter of the late Lucius Northrop Glover and the late Annie Herndon Glover. She was the retired co-founder and co-owner of Hamiltons Furniture Company in Walterboro. She attended Living Word Church and was a graduate of the Rice Business College in Charleston.
Surviving are: three sons, William Cecil Billy Hamilton and his wife Mary of Walterboro, John Anthony Tony Hamilton and his wife DeLoris of Columbia, and Charles Patrick Pat Hamilton and his wife Joyce of Walterboro; and a sister, Mary Castillo of Charleston. There are six grandchildren, Cutler Hamilton, Downs Hamilton, John Hamilton, Lindsey Davis, Mark Hamilton, and Patrick Hamilton and two great grandchildren, Jonathan Miller Hamilton and Porter Hamilton Davis
