Ruby Crosby

Mrs. Ruby Crosby, 87, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her residence. She is the widow of David Fisk Crosby to whom she was married 66 years.
Ruby was born September 6, 1929 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late George Soney Walling and Mattie Lemacks Walling. Ruby worked several years at the Walterboro Shirt Factory. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising chickens, growing her own vegetables and flowers which she loved to share with others.
Surviving are: two sisters, Genevieve Beach of Walterboro and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne (Hazel) Lanier of Beaufort; a sister-in-law, Carol Walling of Ruffin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Crosby, Wilma Brinson, and Helen Overland; and a brother, Marshall Walling.
Private services will be held at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, Walterboro.
