Mrs. Ruby Crosby Bennett, 87, of Winchester Road, Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Greer, S.C. She was the wife of the late Frank McKinnon Bennett.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock, Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Grace Advent Christian Church, Mt. Carmel Road, Walterboro, with Mr. Nelson Howe officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett was born September 28, 1924 in Colleton County and was the daughter of the late Elbie Calhoun Crosby and Lida Craven Crosby. She devoted 31 years of her life as an administrative assistant for South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Walterboro. She was also the owner of Bennett's Mobile Home Park on Jefferies Highway in Walterboro. A longtime devoted and dedicated member of Grace Advent Christian Church, she was a member of the Adult Five Sunday School Class, served as an Organist and Pianist as well as a long time choir member.
Surviving are her son David Bennett and wife Lynn of Simpsonville; two granddaughters Lauren and Taylor Bennett. She was predeceased by a brother Cecil Crosby.
