Biography
Mrs. Roylee Carmon Poston, 82, of Wildwood Drive, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 14, 2011 at her residence. She was the widow of Mr. Eugene Poston, to whom she was married for 58 years.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Poston was born October 6, 1929 in Florence County and was a daughter of the late Garland Leroy Carmon and Ellen Lee Carmon. She retired from JP Stevens (now CCX), where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church. She always enjoyed fishing with her late husband and loved to cook for her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who centered her life around her family and gave her all to them.
Surviving are: her children, Carolyn Rahn of Walterboro, Debra Godley and her husband Steve of Walterboro, Steve Poston and his wife Shirley of Walterboro, Janet Henderson and her husband Ricky of Cottageville and Lynn Poston and her husband Chuck of Cottageville; sisters, Lydia Matthew of Cowards and Bessie Wilkes of Scranton; grandchildren, Lisa, Ashley, Michelle, Amanda, Tessa and Ginger; great grandchildren, Casey, Nicole, Natalie, Madison, Jaylyn, Breanna and Devin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Poston; sister, Dorothy Lee; and brothers, Hoyt Carmon and L.G. Carmon.
