Royce V. Easterling, Jr.

Senior Master Sergeant Royce V. Easterling, Jr. United States Air Force (Ret.), age 86, entered into rest Friday morning, January 8, 2021, at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro.

Born August 8, 1934, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Royce V. Easterling, Sr., and the late Maude Smith Kruger.   He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force, retiring as an Air Traffic Controller and after having served during the Vietnam Era.  He was also a weather briefer for the Federal Aviation Administration having worked with the Charleston and Anderson, South Carolina facilities.

Surviving are: his wife of sixty-seven years, Mrs. Virginia S. Easterling; a son, Royce V. Easterling, III and his wife Regina; a daughter, Penny E. Dawson and her husband Richard; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.
