Roy Pleasant

Roy Lee Pleasant, Jr. “Bob”, 88, of Cottageville, SC, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, quietly passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home.
He was a man of strong faith who was a deacon at Westside Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC. He was a kind and selfless man who enjoyed helping others and throughout his life, touched the lives of many. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he also enjoyed his work. He was employed at Jeff Hunt Machinery Company for 37 years and at Pioneer Machinery Company for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; his son, Roy Pleasant III and his wife Carol; his daughter, Terry Todd and her husband Terry; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
