Rose Lyons

Mrs. Rose Patricia McAlhany Lyons, 71, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her residence in Smoaks. She was the widow of the late Kirby W. Lyons.



Funeral services will be held 11am, Friday, March 26, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel. Interment will follow in Hagan Cemetery.



Mrs. Lyons was born November 8, 1938 in Smoaks and was a daughter of the late Frank and Nell McAlhany. She was a member of Berea Advent Christian Church, where she was a member of the WHFM. She was well known for her great southern cooking, especially her cakes. Mrs. Lyons was a people person who always loved to have friends stop by just to visit. She will be sadly missed, not just by her family, but anyone who ever knew her, especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.



Surviving are: her sons, Kenneth Lyons and his wife Edith of Smoaks, Anthony Lyons and his wife Cindy of Walterboro, Richard Lyons and his wife Deborah of Waterloo and Delma Lyons and his wife Cindy of Smoaks; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
