Rose Marie Evans

Rose Marie Evans, 80, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, January 10 ,2023, at her residence.

Born February 26, 1942 in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late William Donnie Tanner and Mildred Marie Searcy Tanner.  Rose was a lady with the best southern hospitality who never met a stranger and was best known as a social butterfly.  Rose once owned Carolina Side Street Market on East Washington Street in Walterboro.  She was a phenomenal cook, especially when it came to her cheesecake.  She dearly loved her family and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are: a daughter, Debbie Waltz; grandchildren, Brook Fipps (Mike), and Brittany Waltz (Kenneth); great grandchildren, Austin Stone, Tanner Brown, Bailey Brown, Olivia Ross, Copper Ross, Leo Shmitt, Zackery Shmitt, Karson Shmitt and Hunter Benton.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Friday morning, January 20, 2023 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29414.
