Mr. Roland Melvin “Ronnie” Shepard, Jr., 70, of Green Pond, SC, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 6, 2016 after battling cancer.
Born July 22, 1946 in Middleburgh, New York, he was a son of Roland M. Shepard, Sr. and Laura Lawyer Shepard. He lived the majority of his life in and around Schoharie and Middleburgh. He and his wife Judy were married on October 28, 1966 and were ready to celebrate 50 years together at the time of his passing.
Surviving are: his wife, Helen “Judy” Barnes Shepard; children, Rhonda Soprano and her husband John, Brian “Jake” Shepard, Connie Kendle and her husband Sam, and Sally Blanchard and her husband Chris; brother, Robert “Bob” Shepard; sister, Jean Dearstyne; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 grandsons, a daughter-in-law, and a brother.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1 until 3 pm at the Esperance Elks Lodge, Route 20, Esperance, New York.
