Roger D. Sullivan, Sr.

Roger Deal Sullivan Sr., age 84, of Ladson, South Carolina passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024.

Roger was born January 29, 1940 in Gordo, AL to James Cecil Sullivan and Beatrice Plowman.

Roger is survived by his children James (Jimmy) David Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL; Maria Hopper of Monticello, KY; Heather Kramer and her husband Jason of Knightsville, SC; Roger (Rusty) Deal Sullivan Jr. and his wife Tiffany of Walterboro, SC; and Krystal Sullivan of Hanahan, SC; as well as several brothers and sisters: Lizz Lee of Slidell, LA; Jimmie Nell - Slidell, LA; Randall Sullivan of Palmetto, AL; Joe Sullivan and his wife Meleta of Buhl, AL; Janice Sullivan of Gordo, AL; Eleanor Jean Parish of Gordo, AL; John Sullivan of Gordo, AL; Gary Sullivan and his wife Cindy of McShan, AL; Terry Sullivan and his wife Nina of Gordo, AL; and Cindy Dockery of Lincoln, AL; and many nieces and nephews. Surviving grandchildren, Ashley Sullivan, J.D. Sullivan, Ashley Morilla, Michael Sullivan, Gabriella Sullivan, Robert Corder, Ryan Corder, Raeann Corder, Jakob Kramer, Jonathan Kramer, Christiaan Kraamer, Joseph Sullivan, Kadence Kramer, Gabriel, Madison K. Sullivan, Savannah S. Sullivan, and Owen L. Sullivan.  Roger is preceded in death by his loving wife Martha (Marti) J Sullivan and his siblings Clara Bell Sullivan, Burtis Sullivan, Rayford Sullivan, and E.T. Sullivan.

Roger served in the United States Navy for 22 1/2 years as Boiler Technician and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed his Alabama Football, fishing, helping with  telling jokes, and being a member of the Carolina Lodge #375 AFM, Masonic Lodge. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services with military honors and masonic rites will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, January 6, 2025, from the graveside at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
