Roger Dale Raymond

Roger Dale Raymond, 68, of Bennetts Point, entered into rest Tuesday evening, March 3, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at Roper Hospital in Charleston.   He was first married to the late Mrs. Debbie Smoak Raymond and survived by his wife, Terri Raymond.

Born February 13, 1952, in Everette Washington, he was a son of the late Robert and Josephine Schipper Raymond.   Roger was a lifelong mechanic, having owned and operated Roger’s Automotive.   He also worked for a number of years at Avant’s Construction Company.   He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed horses, fishing, and being on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Terri, are: two children, April Raymond O’Neal and Joseph Raymond; three sisters, Bonnie Cawley, Sharon Hale, Jillian McKay; a brother, Randy Raymond; five grandchildren, Scott O’Neal, Cassidy O’Neal, Nicholas Raymond, Katie Raymond, and Justice Raymond; and four great grandchildren, Mason, Nevaeh, Paisley, and Alyvia as well as one on the way; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.     He is also survived by Terri’s children, Dixie Hickman, Joe Hoerl, Samantha Jaques; her six grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnathan Raymond; and siblings, Richard Raymond, Ronald Raymond, and Carol Bruins.
