Mr. Rodney Lee Hiott, 50, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, died Friday, March 27, 2009 at his residence.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2 pm, Friday, April 3, 2009 at Doctors Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Walterboro.
Mr. Hiott was born November 15, 1958 in Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of June Miles Hiott and the late Arthur Hiott. He traveled extensively growing up. He graduated from high school in Larimore, ND in 1978. Rodney enlisted in the United States Army and served his country faithfully in many places including Germany, Ft. Lewis, Washington and Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Rodney was first married to Rebecca Paterson and secondly to Joyce Whit. Rodneys favorite pastimes were fishing and camping.
Surviving family members include: his daughter, Jennifer of Grand forks, ND; sons, Michael of Devils Lake, ND, Rod, Jr. of Grand forks, ND and Robert of Nebraska; mother, June Hiott of Walterboro; sisters, Rhonda Hiott of Walterboro, Debbie Olson and her husband Scott of Grand Forks, ND and Janie Northberg and her husband Terry of Wheaton, ND.
