Rodney Lee Franks

Rodney Lee Franks, aged 69, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Walterboro, South Carolina with family and his dog Boozer by his side. Born on July 29, 1954, in Howell, Michigan, he was the beloved son of the late Glen and Dora Franks.

Rodney was known for his love of fishing, yard work, and his knack for tinkering with small engines. His passion for the outdoors and mechanical challenges was only matched by his willingness to help others. A man of many talents, he was always ready to lend a hand, making him a cherished figure in his community. He will be missed by his beloved dogs, Boozer and Cujo.

He leaves behind his daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Nathan Yager of Conway, South Carolina. Rodney is also survived by a large and loving family including his siblings Roger and Cathy (Miller) Franks of Potterville, Michigan; Randall Franks of North Pole, Alaska; Rick and Kathryn Franks of Lansing, Michigan; Robert and Lynne (Milligan) Franks of Summerville, South Carolina; Ray and Michelle(Campbell) Franks of Mulliken, Michigan; Ranay and Robert (Nottingham) of Sherwood, Michigan; Robin and Roy (Cummings) Decker of Edmore, Michigan; and Russell Franks of North Pole, Alaska, life long friend, Momma Chris and extended family; along with many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.

In keeping with Rodney's wishes, there will be no memorial services. In his memory to: FOCASS (Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter), 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488. His life and contributions will continue to be celebrated by all who knew him, through the memories they hold dear and the stories they continue to share. Rodney's spirit, characterized by generosity and kindness, will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
