Mrs. Robin Smith Harrison, 52, of 1564 Winchester Road, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday morning, April 21, 2009, at her residence.
The relatives and friends of the Harrison family are invited to attend her funeral services which will be conducted 3 oclock Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2009 from First Baptist Church of Walterboro, 124 South Memorial Avenue, Walterboro, with The Reverend Dr. Randy C. Gardner and The Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro. Serving as casket bearers will be, Woody Crosby, Darrel Altman, Scooter Murray, John Quesinberry, Steve Crosby, Jamie Floyd, Edward Lyons and Chris Baker.
Mrs. Harrison was born April 19, 1957, in Colleton County and was the daughter of Mr. Thomas Ed Smith and the late Mrs. Polly Reeves Warren. She was a certified and trained Respitory Therapist and was the founding owner of Palmetto Medical Services in Walterboro. Through her work, which was her lifes dedication, she help and reached out to many people, always eager to help those she could and if possible provide better medical solutions to the health problems they faced. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Walterboro. She was a member of the Medical Equipment and Supply Association (MESA) where she served as group President. She will be remembered for the love she had for all, especially her two children, which were the joy and passion of her life. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs and horses.
Surviving in addition to her father of Walterboro are: her husband: Mr. Steve Parker Harrison; a son, Steven Parker Harrison of Walterboro; a daughter, Elizabeth Robin Harrison of Walterboro; and a brother, Thomas Lynn Smith and his wife Patricia of Walterboro. There is one niece, Drena Smith Hazel and her husband Kevin of Walterboro; as well as numerous cousins to include, Elizabeth Crosby Floyd and her son Jamie of Walterboro, Woody and Linda Crosby and their daughter Sonya of Walterboro, Lisa and David Ackerman of Savannah, Georgia, and Richard Smith of Walterboro. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Crosby Smith.
