Robert Wade Nix

Mr. Robert Wade Nix, 62, of Third Street, Hampton, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 3, 2014 at Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 pm, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Entombment will follow in Hampton Cemetery.

Mr. Nix was born October 6, 1951 in Gainesville, Florida and was a son of the late Charles Lynburg Nix and Lois Thomas Nix Seckinger. He was the owner of Robert’s Landscaping and Nursery Service and was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church.

Surviving are: his son, Lewis Robert Edward Nix of Greenwood; step-father, O’Neal Seckinger of Springfield, Georgia; sisters, Lynn Elaine Stanley of Hampton, Shannon Williams of Ridgeland, Stephanie Sauls of Grays and Sheila Nix of Ridgeland; brothers, Charles L. Nix of Charleston and Bucky Nix of Ridgeland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Wayne Nix.
