Mr. Robert Allen Garrett, 84, of Lodge, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1940, in Barberton, Ohio, and was a son of the late Thomas B. Garrett and Flora Vaughn Garrett. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and then retired from the United States Navy. During his military career, he received many metals and awards including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a member of My Fathers House Church and was a volunteer at Colleton Medical Center for many years.
Surviving are: his daughters, Mary Edward and her husband Warren of Barberton, Ohio, Florence Garrett of Cleveland, Ohio, Roberta Collins and her husband Matt of Parma, Ohio, and Steven Garrett and his wife Erica of Buford, Georgia; his dear friend, Linda Landgrave; grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Joseph, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Tristian, Ashten, S.J., Noah, Avery, Amanda, Neveah, and Charles Jr.; many nieces and nephews, including, Carolyn Collins; and great nieces, Madilynn Collins, Allison Collins, and Kylee Curran; He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Garrett; his wife, Patsy Garrett; his wife, Margaret Thompson Garrett; his daughter, Penelope Garrett; and his sister, Mary Lou Garrett.
