Robert Bruce Fisher, Sr

Robert Bruce Fisher, Sr. 77, of Hampton, SC, completed his journey on earth. He has gone to join his wife, Lucy, in Heaven.

Bruce was born in Horry, SC November 17, 1937 to Rev. Frank Fisher and Gladys B. Fisher. He was a Graduate of Wade Hampton High School. He joined the United States Air Force after graduation. After his military service, he was a carpenter. He was a member of Lighthouse Church. Bruce was a resident of Unihealth Post Acute Care in Estill, where he was loved and cared for by all.

He was married to Lucy DeLoach Fisher on September 1, 1961. They were married for 50 years. Bruce is survived by one sister, Marjorie Fisher Babb of Eastman, Ga. He is also survived by a Son, Robert Bruce Fisher, Jr. and his wife Lisa, of Hampton, and one daughter, Vicki Fisher Shouse and her husband Bill, of Seabrook. There are six grandchildren, Amanda Simmons, Anna Simmons, Rebecca Simmons Coker and her husband Tyler, Cristen Chassereau, Micheal Frank Fisher, and Savannah Joy Fisher. Two step-grandchildren, Bailey Shouse and Victoria Shouse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.

2 Timothy 4: 7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7 at the home of his daughter, Vicki, at 359 Washington Farm Road, Seabrook, South Carolina.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Deep Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Cummings, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family at Post Office Box 1273, Varnville, South Carolina 29944.
