Obituary

Robert “Robbie” Yeargain, a lifelong resident of the Lowcountry, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 14, 2026, at the age of 48.

Robbie was born on April 26, 1978, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Charles (Lori) Yeargain and Mary Hicks. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished family member whose kindness, generosity, and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all else, Robbie was a loving and caring husband to his wife, Elaine, and a devoted father to their two beautiful daughters, Alexis and Destiny, who were the center of his world. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether gathered together for a family celebration or simply enjoying time with the people he loved most, Robbie had a special way of making every moment meaningful.

Known as the life of the party, Robbie had a contagious laugh and a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. His presence brought warmth, happiness, and laughter to those around him. He was the kind of person who could turn an ordinary day into a memorable one, and his spirit made every gathering a little brighter.

Robbie was also known for his selfless heart and generous nature. He was the type of man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to a friend, family member, or even a stranger. He gave freely, loved deeply, and asked for little in return. His kindness was not measured by what he had, but by how much he was willing to give to others.

Robbie leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless stories, and a love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though his unexpected passing leaves an unimaginable void, the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine; his daughters, Alexis Buckner (Gabrielle) and Destiny Yeargain; his siblings, David (Dayna), Bobbie Jo and Gertie; and his many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, including Michael (Haley), Caleb (Trinity), Adrian (Kaylee), Brian (Kayla), Halie (Justin) and Renee (Eddie), along with many other family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Though Robbie may no longer be physically present, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unforgettable laugh, his love for his family, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many.

Rest peacefully, Robbie. You were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2026, from 12 noon until 2 o’clock at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Following, a reception will be held at Black Creek Angus Farm, 3540 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.
