Richey Bryan

WALTERBORO " Mr. Richey Dewey Bryan, 84, of 3483 Bells Highway, entered into his eternal rest Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Roper Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 oclock, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Doctors Creek Baptist Church, 126 Doctors Creek Road. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bryan was born April 27, 1925 in Colleton County and was a son of the late Frank A. Bryan and Lilla Saunders Bryan. He was the founder and owner of Bryan Motor Company, which was the Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealer for the Walterboro area. He was a member of Doctors Creek Baptist Church, where he was a former Treasurer and Deacon, a member of the Adult Mens Sunday School Class and a member of the Brotherhood. He also served on the Colleton County Transportation Committee for many years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Surviving are: his wife of 59 years, Colleen Breland Bryan; daughter, Kay Bryan Sanders and her husband Miles of Walterboro; and grandchildren, Bryan McBride Sanders and Allison Olivia Sanders, both of Walterboro. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Bryan, Jerome Bryan and Emmitt Bryan.
