Richard Witort

August 3, 1960 — August 11, 2017

Mr. Richard Allan Witort, 57, of St. George, passed away much too soon, Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 7 o’clock, Tuesday evening, August 15, 2017, at North Walterboro Baptist Church, 2177 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends from 6 o’clock until the hour of service at the church.

Born August 3, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a son of the late Alfred Witort and Barbara Joan Urie Eck.  He was a driver for Summerville Propane.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Rick was a person that was full of life, always had a smile, made friends with everyone, and was hardworking.  He was a member of North Walterboro Baptist Church, was a Christian who loved going to church and loved singing.  He loved his Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.  Most of all, Rick was a loving and devoted husband, soul mate to Kim, father, and Pop-Pop, who loved camping, shopping, bird watching, going out to eat with his family, and taking vacations to Disney World and the Great Smokey Mountains.

Surviving are: his wife, Kim Witort of St. George; daughters, Candice Clark of St. George and Ciara Witort of New Jersey; grandchildren, Christian, Cheyenne, Chase and Hannah; sisters, Donna Moffatt of Arizona, Victoria Parrish of South Carolina, and Tracey York of Maryland; and his beloved animals, Harley, Biscuit and White Paws.
