Richard Simpson

Mr. Richard Thomas Simpson, 86, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his residence.  He was the husband of the late Doris Magdalene Simpson.

Born March 7, 1934 in Biscoe, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Marvin and Thelma Simpson.  Mr. Simpson served his country in the United States Army and retired as a Tech Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He was a hard worker who loved to garden and loved cooking.  He was a devoted husband, dad and grandfather.

Surviving are: his sons, Lewis Simpson (Tracey) of Florida and Edward Lee Simpson (Angela) of Walterboro; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

A memorial service will be held 1 o’clock, Monday afternoon, December 14, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.
