Miss Rebecca Marshelle DeWitt, affectionately known as Becky, age 34 of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday evening, April 9, 2013, in Walterboro.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 6 oclock Friday evening, April 12, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Godfrey Ritter officiating.
The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony until 8 oclock that evening at the mortuary.
Born September 16, 1978, a native of Williams, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Mr. Harold Ben DeWitt and Mrs. Cathy Dianne Lemacks DeWitt. She had attended Evergreen Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Walterboro, and will be fondly remembered for her love of children.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Walterboro and her father of Summerville are: her three children whom she adored, Summer Elizabeth DeWitt, Melissa Lynn Bogart, and Jeffery Allen J.J. Bogart, Jr. all of the home; her companion, Jeffery Allen Bogart, Sr. of Walterboro; a brother, Riddick DeWitt of Walterboro; and a sister, Debbie Dianne Smoak and her husband Edward of Walterboro. There is a nephew, Jonathan Smoak; three uncles, Gordon Lemacks, Donald DeWitt, and Gomer DeWitt; and two aunts, Mary Guard and Mary DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eunice and Milton Thomas, Bessie Bassett, and Riddick DeWitt; an uncle, Clyde David Lemacks; and an aunt, Barbara Solomon.
