Raymond Eugene Nix

Mr. Raymond Eugene Nix, 80, of Hollywood, entered into rest Friday evening, November 14, 2025, with his loving family at his side.

Born May 7, 1945, in Hampton County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Thomas Nix and the late Anza Ginn Nix Evans. He was a longtime farmer and will be forever remembered for the love he had for his family. He was an outdoorsman and avid fisherman.

Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Tammy Marie Littlejohn; five children, Wendy Winn (Terry) of Hollywood, Lacey Nix of Charleston, Gene Nix (Susie) of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Allen Littlejohn of Hollywood, and Annie McCray of Alabama; a brother, Oliver “O.C.” Evans (Gwen) of Early Branch; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Louise Lambert, Billy Nix, Donald Evans, and Bobbie Rae Breland.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to: Yemassee Baptist Church, 127 Salkehatchie Road, Yemassee, South Carolina 29945.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, November 22, 2025, from the Yemassee Baptist Church, 127 Salkehatchie Road, Yemassee. His nephew, The Reverend Heyward Evans will officiate. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony at the church.
