Mr. Randall Gregg Hughes, Sr., affectionately known by many as Randy, age 46, of 1328 Stokes Road, entered into his state of eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Christina Nettles Hughes.



Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Saturday afternoon, January 8, 2011, from the graveside at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro with The Reverend Dr. Zane Brown officiating.



Mr. Hughes was born September 8, 1964, in Colleton County and was a son of Mr. Charles Bert Hughes, Jr., and the late Daisy Cooke Beach. He was an employee of the former N and N Ball and Roller in Walterboro and was a member of Doctors Creek Baptist Church. He will fondly be remembered for his love of hunting turkey with his son, fishing the local creeks of Colleton County and his avid love of hunting large game American White tail Deer, being a member of Po Boys Hunting Club.



Surviving are: his father, Mr. Charles Bert Hughes, Jr. and his step-mother, Peggy Bazzle Hughes of Walterboro; five daughters, Debra Ann Benton and her husband Kevin of Ruffin, Cheyenne Caroline Hughes, Sierra Renee Hughes, Savannah Grace Hughes, and Christall Dawn Hughes all of the home; and a son, Randall Gregg Hughes, Jr. of the home; a brother, Roger Hughes of Walterboro; two sisters, Penny Crosby and Dodi Davis both of Walterboro; three step-brothers, Tommy Garvin of Adams Run, Andy Garvin of Walterboro, and Timmy Garvin of Adams Run; and two step-sisters, Sarah Garvin of Walterboro and Lynn Webster of Adams Run. There are four grandchildren that also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bert Hughes.
