Mr. Ralph Laude Stanley, 59, of Stanley Avenue, Walterboro, entered into rest Friday afternoon, February 1, 2013, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, February 5, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Churchyard, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.
Born April 21, 1953, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of the late Manley Jim Stanley and the late Mattie Iris Sheppard Stanley. He was a welder and worked in construction work all of his life. Formerly a part of Desperado Construction he had also been employed by Upchurch Lumber Company. He will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing as well as his passion for farming and livestock.
Surviving are: two daughters, Christine Stanley (Erich) of Allendale and Rebecca Stanfield (K.W.) of Oklahoma; a brother, Milton Stanley of Walterboro; and five sisters, Frances Pendarvis of Hardeeville, Althea O'Quinn of Walterboro, Jeanette Stanley of Walterboro, Mae Broadaway of Walterboro, and Mattie Stanley of Walterboro. There are seven grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews to include Rhonda Stanley Garnsey and Marvin Stanley who also survive. He was preceded in death by a grandchild; two brothers, Homer Stanley and Carl Stanley; and a sister, Margie Dropps.
