Biography

Mr. Ralph Leroy Brown, Jr., known to all as "Buddy", 54, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, December 5, 2011 at MUSC.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will be held at 2 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born April 5, 1957 in Victorville, California and was a son of Ralph Leroy Brown, Sr. and Frances Scott Brown. He served his country in the United States Army for 10 years and was a retired long haul truck driver. He had also owned Buddy's Seafood in Manning. Buddy was a true jokester and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are: his parents, Ralph and Fran Brown of North Charleston; his wife, Brenda Costa Brown of Walterboro; children, Crystal Brown of Summerville, Carla Brown Bailey of Wink, Texas, Leroy Scott Brown of Wink, Texas, Keri Curran of Cottageville and Robert Curran of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Walter Ray Brown of St. George and James Edward Brown of Walterboro; sister, Teresa Brown Sorenson of Summerville; 10 grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
