Ralph Bessent

Mr. Ralph Donald Bessent, Sr., 61, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, May 5, 2025, at Colleton Medical Center.

Born September 10, 1963, in Miami, Florida, he was a son of the late William Ralph Bessent and Christine Nolar Copeland.  He was a retired truck driver, having driven long distance and short distance hauling as well as log trucks.  He loved truck driving, and it was more his passion than his job.  He dearly loved spending time with his family and teaching his grandchildren new things, especially how to work on vehicles.  He also enjoyed cooking for his family.

Surviving are: his wife, Tina Ann Metzger Bessent of Walterboro; nine children, Tiffany Crane, Cassie Stone, Angelique Daubenspeck, Ralph Donald “Donnie” Bessent, Jr., Stormy Doe, Jason Bessent, Brett Hartley, Ashlee Harris, and Mariah Bessent; over 40 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Tammy Simmons, Michelee Bessent, Annabell Bessent, and Lola Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
