Rainy Thomas

Mrs. Catherine Loraine Thomas, affectionately known by many as “Rainy”, age 61, entered into rest Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016, at her home in Cottageville. She was the widow of Odis Cecil Thomas.
Born September 19, 1954, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Clyde Branham, Sr. and the late Catherine Sigwald Branham. A homemaker, she was a member of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church. She will always be remembered for the affectionate love she possessed for her animals and family.
Surviving are: two children, David Branham Thomas of Charleston and Tiffany Thomas Williams and her husband Scott of Beaufort; a brother, Jesse Clyde Branham, Jr. of Walterboro; and a sister, Marie “Penny” Walters of Charleston. There are two grandchildren, David Branham Thomas, Jr. and James Tyler Thomas as well as two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Odis Cecil Thomas, III.
