VARNVILLE " Mrs. May Warren McAlhaney, 71, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 2, 2008 at her residence.



Graveside funeral services were held 10 oclock Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Smith Cemetery, Grays Highway, Varnville.



Mrs. McAlhaney was born July 23, 1937 in Colusa, California and was a daughter of the late Willis Lavern Warren and Ruth Margurite McMillian Warren. She retired from Hampton County Department of Social Services, where she worked for 28 years. Mrs. McAlhaney was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church and a member of the Bosom Buddies. She loved the outdoors and was an avid equestrian; and will always be remembered for the love she had for her family.



Surviving are: her husband of 51 years, Jack W. McAlhaney; children, Jack W. Jay McAlhaney, Jr., Scott McAlhaney and Joy McAlhaney, all of Varnville; grandchildren, Hannah McAlhaney, Warren McAlhaney, Trey McAlhaney, Courtney Bishop, Chelsea Bishop, Sunny McAlhaney, Henry McAlhaney, Haley McAlhaney, Daniel Bilton and Jacob Bilton; and great grandchildren, Joselain Anthon and Jaiyden Bilton.
