Mr. Philip Frank Herzog, 82, of Bowman, entered into rest Saturday evening, October 5, 2019, at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro.
Born February 3, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Philip Frank Herzog and the late Ann Snyder Herzog. Mr. Herzog served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force, having retired as a Master Sergeant after twenty-six years of service. During his time in service he was a Prisoner of War and the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion. One of the joys in Phil’s life was playing Santa Clause and seeing the joy it brought to children and adults.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Judy Gonter Herzog; a son, Philip Frank Herzog; three daughters, Tammy Lynn Barr, Tina Lynn Moss, and Tracy Lynn Chrestman; a sister, Fran Pfsing; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
