Mrs. Peggy Northern Kreighbaum, 49, entered into rest Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016, at her home in Walterboro while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina. She was the wife of the late William Scott “Bill” Kreighbaum.
Funeral services will be conducted 6pm Saturday evening, April 16, 2016, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony until 8 o’clock that evening.
Born September 10, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was a daughter of Sandra Kay Hatley Northern and the late Albert Marvin Northern. She worked in housekeeping at Auld Brass Plantation in Yemassee and for many years has worked alongside her son, Kyle, and late husband in his business, Bill K’s Painting. Peggy was known for her strong will, great determination, and devout work ethic. She was also known for the love she had for her family, grandchildren, and others. She enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to her mother of LaPort, Indiana are: four children, William Northern, Kyle Kreighbaum, Brandy Kreighbaum, and Amanda Lyons and her husband Mason all of Walterboro; her beloved Pitbull and constant companion, “Snoop”; two brothers, Michael Northern and Jeffery Northern; three sisters, Barbara Northern, Kimberly Escobedo and her husband Mario, and Pamela Nieto; as well as two very loved sisters-in-law, Terri Gallagher and Beth Toliver. There are seven grandchildren that also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Northern.
