Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Lemacks Polk, 71, of Walterboro, died Thursday, September 30, 2010. She was the widow of Willie C. Polk.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Polk was born March 12, 1939 and was a daughter of the late John E. Lemacks and Fannie Roberts Lemacks. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and loved sewing and fishing. Most of all, she will be remembered for the love she had for her family and gospel music.
Surviving are: her children, Danny Polk of Walterboro, Lois Judy and her husband James of Walterboro, and Donna Crosby and her husband George of Hampton; grandchildren, Michelle Westbury and her husband Ryan of St. George, Jamie Nettles and his wife Crystal of Walterboro, Mark Risher and his wife Tarah of Cottageville, Mindy Herndon of Ridgeville, David Herndon of Walterboro and Lacey Crosby of Hampton; and great grandchildren, Jamie Nettles, Jr., Eden Risher, Connor Westbury and Paul David Herndon, Jr.. She was preceded in death by a son, John DeWayne Polk; and daughters, Doris Herndon and Nancy Nettles.
