Mrs. Minnie Pearl Crosby Bazzle Brabham, 86, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday evening, December 13, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Intrepid Hospice. She was twice married, first to the late James Lee Bazzle and secondly to the late Barry Neil Brabham.
Born April 6, 1936, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Inez Standfill Crosby. She worked a long and dedicated career with the Econo Lodge in Walterboro and also worked for many years at Dukes Barbeque in Walterboro. She was a faithful member of Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was active in many aspects of the church’s work and diligently planted the flowers around the church sign each year. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her peanut brittle that she and her sister, Doris, enjoyed making together. She dearly loved her family and always supported each of them.
Surviving are: seven children, Pearl Ferguson (Steve) of Cottageville, James Bazzle (Rhonda) of Walterboro, David Bazzle (Brenda) of Ehrhardt, Brenda Pollard (David) of Walterboro, Vickie Breland (Steve) of Cottageville, Mark Bazzle (Sherrie) of Walterboro and Timmy Bazzle of Walterboro; three grandsons that she raised, Timothy Bazzle, John Bazzle, and Robbie Bazzle; a brother, Charles Bazzle of Walterboro; and a sister, Doris Morrall of Walterboro. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren as well as a beloved host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Deborah Bazzle, Betty Lou Walker, and Sarah Bazzle.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to: Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church, care of 165 Meeting House Lane, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30am Saturday morning, December 17, 2022, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
