Mrs. Paula Jean Hiott Stanfill, 65, of 17793 Augusta Highway, Round O, entered into rest Friday afternoon, April 12, 2013, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 Monday afternoon, April 15, 2013, from the graveside at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2201 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. Zane Brown officiating.
Born January 9, 1948, a native of Walterboro, she was the daughter of the late James Fredrick Fred Hiott, Jr. and the late Nellie Headden Hiott. She worked for Hiott's Recycling Inc. along beside her brother for 29 years. She also owned Stanfill's Tax Service as she has done taxes for many years. She was a member at First Christian Church in Walterboro. Her biggest love in life was her husband, children, and grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as "Nana" as well as her loving family. Her passion was cooking, baking and catering events.
Surviving are: her husband of forty years, Mr. Harry W. Stanfill Jr.; two daughters: Kendall "Kandy" Evans and husband Gene of Summerville and Jennifer Stanfill Crosby of Round O; a son-in-law: Grant Rollins and his wife Tina Of Summerville; a sister: Frances Hiott Carter and her husband Tommy of Walterboro; and a brother: Bobby Lewis Hiott and wife Emma Of Walterboro. There are six grandchildren: Charles "Chuckie" Rollins II and his fiance' Jennifer Mazalic of Round O, Cindy Rollins and Kristen McIntire both of Summerville, Cameron Crosby and Courtney Crosby both of Round O and Kristie Crosby of Walterboro; and two great-grandchildren, Haylee & Taylor both of Walterboro as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored as if they were her own, to most of them she was affectionately known as "Jane". She was preceded in death by: a son-in-law: Stanley "Bubba" Crosby Jr.; a grandson: Daniel Ryan Crosby; and a sister: Betsy Hiott Jones and her husband William Jones.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that so desire, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to the charity of ones choice.
