Paul Perry

Mr. Paul Henry Perry, 67, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Thursday evening, May 22, 2025, at his residence.

Born September 21, 1957, in Charleston County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Cleveland Otto Perry and Olah Hodges Perry.  He was an electrician for Union #776 in Charleston and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Adams Run.  He loved college football and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan.  More than anything he loved spending time with his family and his passion in life was being with his grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife of 16 years, Angela Renee Smiley of Cottageville; children, Kathryn Phillips and her husband William of Walterboro, William “DJ” Watson of Ohio, Brandy Youmans of Canadys, Jotavia Myers of North Charleston, and Caitlynn Mikkelson of Columbia; many grandchildren, including Joshua, Waylon, and Bryson; and sisters, Janet Fulton, Julia Robertson, Gaynell Hiers, Mary Jane Rider, and Leticia Perry.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cleveland Otto “Steve” Perry, Johnny H. Perry, and Matilda Black.

A memorial service will be held 2 o’clock Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 6869 Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run.
