Paul Gentry

January 19, 1937 — February 17, 2016

Mr. Paul Guilford Gentry, 79, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, February 19, 2016, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Bruce Fox officiating.  Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, South Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 o’clock that afternoon in the funeral home.

Born January 19, 1937 in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Homer Frank Gentry and the late Jeannie Hazel Guilford Gentry.  He served in the National Guard prior to entering the United States Air Force and serving until his honorable discharge in 1961.  He was a retired maintenance employee at Asten-Hill in Walterboro and will always be remembered for his love of welding.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Trudy Infinger Gentry; two children, David Carl Infinger and his wife Dee Anna of Mashawville and Lola Lynn Gentry of Ruffin; a sister, Mary Litchfield of Walterboro; and a brother, George Gentry of Edisto Island.  There are two grandchildren, Turner Infinger and Allison Infinger.
