Patsy Keffer

Mrs. Patsy Lou Humphries Keffer, 58, of Brittlebank Road, Walterboro, graduated to Heaven Monday morning, January 28, 2013, at her residence.

A memorial service will be conducted 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, January 31, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Ronnie Boone officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial ceremony until 5 o’clock that afternoon in the Crosby Stateroom of the Mortuary.

Born June 2, 1954, a native of Chester County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Alex B. Humphries and the late Betty Lou Pressley Humphries. She made Walterboro her home for the past twenty years having previously resided in Lancaster. She was a member of Academy Road Baptist Church in Walterboro. She will fondly be recalled for her love of fishing local freshwater ponds, tending to her yard work, and watching television’s NCIS. She was accomplished in bowling having received numerous awards for her talent and skill.

Surviving are: her husband, Mr. Max Cowdery Keffer; two sons, Jerry B. Trotter of Lancaster and Jonathan Snipes and his wife Leann of Lancaster; a brother, Richard Humphries of Richburg; and two sisters, Gloria Boone and her husband Ronnie of Lancaster and Loraine Bronson and her husband Bill of Walterboro. There is one grandson, Shaun Phillip Trotter.

In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: The Veteran’s Victory House, 2461 Sidney’s Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
