Reverend Patsy Nell Collins, 83, of Round-O, entered into eternal rest, March 31, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center.
Patsy was born March 12, 1940, in Whitehall, Georgia. She was the daughter to the late Bishop Grover Hubert Hammond and the late Nellie Ann Tanksley Hammond.
Rev. Patsy was a well known member of the community and loved everyone in it and all around. She lived her life serving the Lord, with forty-three years of her life as an ordained minister. Having founded the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Cottageville, she dedicated her life to God and the church. She dearly loved her children and family and shared her love in Christ with them.
She is survived by: her husband of thirteen years, Dallas Collins; her children, Toya Ann Gustafson, Rev. Terry Ferguson, and Rev. Timothy Ferguson; nine grandchildren; twenty- three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Reggie Hammond.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2023, at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Cottageville, 140 Clydeville Lane, Cottageville, SC 29435. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery.
The family will gather for a time of visitation at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Cottageville prior to the service beginning at 1 o’clock.
