Patricia Almeida Stanfield

Mrs. Patricia Almeida Stanfield, 77, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday evening, December 5, 2020, at the Pruitt Health Care Center in Walterboro.  She was the loving wife of fifty years to Mr. Harry Bellinger “H.B.” Stanfield, Jr., who joined her in Heaven on Monday afternoon, December 7, 2020.

Born December 17, 1943, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter and last surviving of five children born to the late Joseph and Isabella DeMello’ Almeida.  She was a devoted homemaker, having made a loving and Christian home for her family making sure they knew and trusted God.  She was a member of the Walterboro Church of God, where she was named as “Mother of the Year”.  Pat was a loving and compassionate person who centered her live around those she loved.  Her grandchildren were her truest joy in life.

Surviving are: her children, Christopher Michael Stanfield of Walterboro, Margaret S. Craven of Walterboro, Harry Bellinger “H.B.” Stanfield of Walterboro, Joseph Allen Stanfield (Teresa) of Ocala, Florida, and Melissa S. O’Quinn of Summerville; four grandchildren, Matthew Craven, Kimberly O’Quinn, Tasha O’Quinn and Thomas Craven.  There is a large and extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins to include Morgan C. Thomas (David) and Amanda C. Cromer (Cole).

Her funeral service as well as those of her husband will be conducted 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon, December 9, 2020, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Daryl Hunt and Pastor James Baker officiating.   Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.
