Ms. Patricia Lucas Ramsey, 81, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening, January 11, 2023, at Bayview Manor in Beaufort.
Born November 4, 1941, in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late Bernie Lucas and Evelyn Weatherford Lucas. Ms. Pat, as she was affectionally known, was a retired secretary from First Baptist Church of Walterboro, where she worked for 20 years. She had also worked for Asten Hill in Walterboro for several years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Walterboro, where she was a member of the Miriam Clark Sunday School Class. Ms. Pat dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them, as well as reading books and gardening. She also enjoyed attending supper club with her “Asten Ladies”.
Surviving are: her daughter, Prissy Ramsey Griffin and her husband Cal of Walterboro; grandchildren, Callie Griffin, Gracie Griffin, and Clay Griffin; her former husband and best friend, Mike Ramsey of Walterboro; sister-in-law, Phyllis Ramsey Way of Walterboro; brother, Ronald Lucas and his wife Vicky of Hartsville; sister, Elizabeth Barner and her husband Joe of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; as well as 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: First Baptist Church of Walterboro Flower Fund, 124 South Memorial Avenue, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
