Patricia Sutton Hawkins

Mrs. Patricia Sutton Hawkins, 79, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, July 31, 2021, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro.

Born February 7, 1942, in Ripley, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late William Franklin Sutton and the late Agnes Hutchenson Sutton.   She retired from the Walterboro Sears where over the years she became an icon to the locals of a community she dearly loved.   She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and she dearly loved Elvis.  She will always be remembered as a great Southern cook.

Surviving are: four children, Lorrie Nettles of Orangeburg, Mark Hawkins and his wife Ann of Ruffin, Steve Hawkins and his wife Salina of Yemassee, and Brenda Jones and her husband Randy of Ruffin; a brother, Ronnie Sutton and his wife Gay Lee; a sister, Pam Dowty and her husband Butch; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Sutton.

Funeral services will be conducted 6 o’clock Wednesday evening, August 4, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Mike Polk Officiating.  The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony.
