Patricia Hart

Mrs. Patricia Ann Hart, 67, of Bethel Road in Ruffin, entered into her state of eternal rest Monday morning, November 29, 2010, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, December 1, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Churchyard, 16147 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin.



Mrs. Hart was born August 15, 1943, in Jasper County and was a daughter of Mrs. Edna Miller Strickland and the late Porter Rowell. She was a former clerk with Davis Shoe Shop on Main Street in Walterboro, and then owned and operated Pats Shoes in Varnville. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church Ruffin Charge and will be fondly remembered for her love of good Southern cooking as well as the joy and admiration she had for her family.



Surviving in addition to her mother of Ruffin are: two daughters, Donna H. Mixon and her husband Kevin and Maria W. Patterson and her husband Angus all of Ruffin; and five grandchildren, Amber Crosby of Walterboro, Sarah Mixon, Amanda Mixon, Charity Patterson, and Chastity Patterson all of Ruffin. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lois H. Crosby and Rhonda Renee Hart; and two infant sons.



Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Bethel United Methodist Church, for use with the cemetery fund, care of Carolyn Breland, 573 Spencer Drive, Ruffin, South Carolina 29475.
