Biography
Mrs. Patricia Harrelson Chassereau, 66, of Curly Road, Varnville, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 24, 2012 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
A memorial service will be held 6 pm, Friday, June 29, 2012 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel.
Mrs. Chassereau was born March 22, 1946 in Effingham County, Georgia and was a daughter of the late James Paul Harrelson and Lila Edwards Edwards. She was always known as a friend to all, who loved to grow her flowers, especially her roses and loved her different collections of what-not's. She especially loved to cook for her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are: her husband, Hoyt Chassereau of Varnville; sons, Ned Chassereau and his wife Debra of Brunson, Patrick Chassereau of Varnville and Charles Chassereau of Varnville; step-mother, Lillie Harrelson of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; brothers, Carey Harrelson, James P. Harrelson, Jr. and Kenneth Harrelson; sisters, Louise Morrison, Carol Smith, Lisa Edwards, Candy McAlpine, Cathy Wheeling, Georgia Kretzer, Gloria "Jeannie" Catlett, Robin Rollison, Vickie McDaniel, and Paula Degenhardt; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, A.L. Edwards; and a brother, Larry Harrelson.
